Nire Txokotik
Dancer and creator Jon Maya began his journey in dance when he was just 6 years old. More than forty years have passed since then, during which time he has forged a professional career that spans traditional dance and contemporary creation. This show speaks of that exploratory journey. It reveals and recounts Maya’s creative processes and anecdotes, while showcasing some of his own choreographies and those done in collaboration with choreographers like Israel Galván, Sharon Fridman, and Cesc Gelabert.
Jon Maya offers a glimpse into his most intimate side in this performance that combines dance, the spoken word, and audience participation.
