The streets of our towns and cities are a reflection of current social and cultural diversity. We find endless styles of dress, languages, dances, and musical traditions; the streets are a vibrant canvas of endless colours.
The show “Street Dialogues” bears witness to that diversity. Four dancers and one musician, each with different forms of expression, intermix to establish communication with each other — drawing on urban, traditional, and flamenco dance alongside live music (percussion and electronic).
Differences become an opportunity and, without giving up their own individual language, a dialogue is established between them. This is how today’s street conversations are: rich and multiple exchanges that are built by listening to others based on what one has, offering what is one’s own, and embracing what comes from elsewhere.
