On 7th May 1937, thousands of children from the Basque Country were forced to go into exile. Far from their families, they found out what loneliness and sadness are really all about. Among these children, seven were chosen to tell their stories and to show us that bitter times can also be clothed in happiness. How? Dance would prove to be the umbilical cord for these children, and the poetic melodies from the Arditurri record by Juan Mari Beltrán would remind them that maternal and family ties are close, explored via journeys through the soul and down memory lane.
