This is a choreographed piece for 7 dancers and 3 musicians – a show that mentioned the rope as both a physical and poetic element, the rope as an intimate linking device, just like those moments that are woven together and then start all over time and time again. The show was premiered in Bilbao for the opening of the Campos Eliseos Theatre.
The Danza Kukai Dance Company has designed this show by harnessing the experience and proven track record of two choreographers: Jon Maya and Pantxika Telleria. Both have embarked on a journey that led them to their first phase in 2009 with the calle SOKA show (Special Mention at the Valladolid Street Arts Festival). (SOK)2 is the second stage of this joint project – a show put together for halls in which dance and original music (harp, double bass and percussion) provided by Iñaki Telleria coexist alongside each other.
